This Political Expert is Optimistic That The 2024 Aceh Regional

KabarJino | Banda Aceh – Syiah Kuala University academic, Amri, dismissed the potential for conflict between supporters in the 2024 Aceh Regional Head Election. He is optimistic that the event will run peacefully.

“I see that regional head candidates throughout Aceh, as well as political elites and their respective support teams, want a peaceful election. So all parties must try to create peace throughout the election process,” said Amri, Sunday, November 17, 2024.

This belief is increasingly evident seeing the efforts of the TNI and Polri in maintaining a safe situation, from the beginning to campaign times like now. Amri said that the TNI and Polri ensured that their smallest units, Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas, were on standby to maintain order in the community.

The panelist for the Pidie regional head candidate debate said that the implementation of the candidate debate in the district and city was successful and peaceful. There was no friction that caused conflict. All parties, from the committee to the candidates and their respective volunteer teams, are committed to not having conflicts.

The 2024 Aceh Pilkada will only be contested by two candidate pairs, namely Bustami Hamzah-Fadhil Rahmi and Muzakir Manaf-Fadhlullah. The first pair is supported by the NasDem Party, Golkar Party, PAS, Gelora Party and PDA.

Meanwhile, the Muzakir Manaf-Fadhlullah pair is supported by the Aceh Party, Gerindra Party, Demokrat Party, National Awakening Party (PKB), Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), PDIP, PSI, United Development Party (PPP), Ummat Party, Nanggroe Aceh Party (PNA) and Garuda Party.
